FPC Launches Script Consultancy

 

Since 2019, FPC has championed female-written comedy by producing live read-throughs of terrific scripts with top-quality talent, and by providing mentorship and development in partnership with the likes of ScreenSkills and UKTV. 

FPC is pleased to now offer a new consultation service for writers with comedy scripts in need of support.

FPC Joins BCG Big Comedy Conference

 

Female Pilot Club heard two minute parachute pitches from attendees of the Big Comedy Conference hosted by British Comedy Guide. Thank you to everyone who shared their fresh, thoughtful and hilarious new story ideas. For future comedy events, visit BCG Pro.

FPC & UKTV Announce Script Call Finalists

 

Award-winning broadcaster UKTV launched a new comedy TV script call-out in partnership with Female Pilot Club, inviting women to submit original comedy scripts featuring female lead characters over the age of 45. Congratulations to all who submitted!

Four finalists received development support from FPC and UKTV, and their scripts were read before a private industry audience.

FPC Live Comedy Event at JW3 

 

Female Pilot Club is excited to partner with the JW3 for a night of live comedy with the Jewish Comedy Festival, featuring a live reading of two chosen scripts by top flight comedy talent in front of an industry audience.

FPC Podcast Series One Launch

 

FPC founders and award-winning writers Kay Stonham and Abigail Burdess get female TV writers spill their secrets, from up-and-coming talent to Emmy award winners. Episodes include Georgia Pritchett (Succession, The Shrink Next Door), Pip Swallow (Great Expectations), and Julie Bower (So Awkward).

In partnership with Screenskills, five talented writers were mentored by experienced industry figures with a track record in making TV. The mentoring programme was aimed at female writers from diverse ethnic backgrounds, with a disability, who are neuro-diverse, LGBTQ+, late starters, from a non-privileged socio-economic or geographic background.
