Since 2019, Female Pilot Club has sold-out live readings of female-written comedy scripts by top flight comedy talent for public and industry audiences. This year, we are proud to present the first Female Pilot Club Festival, celebrating brilliant female comedy writers and filmmakers with our annual script call and introducing categories for short film formats.
Five scripts will be selected for our annual FPC showcase event, where their scripts will be read for a live audience by top British comedy talent. In preparation, they will receive mentorship from Georgia Pritchett, Athena Kugblenu, Saskia Schuster and Paula Hines.
Official Selection films will be screened at the festival, taking place July 2nd at All Is Joy, Soho. Additional awards will be granted within each category.
The 2026 submission window is now closed.
Congratulations and thank you to all the brilliant writers and filmmakers who submitted. Please do not be discouraged if your work was not selected; it does not mean it wasn't funny, well-written or well-made. Bear in mind that all festivals are subjective, and that just because it wasn't a pick this year doesn't mean it won't be in the future. Keep writing. Keep filming.
