JW3 Re-launch

After far too long on the ground, the Female Pilot Club will take two new pilots up for a spin!

Two brilliant pilot scripts will get a live reading at the JW3 centre in Hampstead by top-flight comedy performers. Previous shows have starred Tracy Ann Oberman, Jordan Stephens, Arabella Weir, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, and many more.

The club is looking for laugh out loud scripts with small (ish) casts and great dialogue. Any subject is fine, and characters can be of any nationality or ethnicity. We welcome scripts by writers from under-represented groups.

So, if you identify as a woman writer, have a half hour TV sit-com which fits the bill and you’d like your script to get the FPC treatment, send your script here by January 28th.

The club receives no funding. If you are a production company interested in sponsoring a Female Pilot Club meeting and becoming part of this initiative to find brilliant scriptwriters please email

FPC Podcast

We made a podcast!

Kay and Abbie talk comedy script-writing with Pilot Clubbers. Whether they are absolute beginners or multi-Emmy award winners, they all have something fascinating to say about writing comedy.

The podcast features clips with top comedy performers from the live Female Pilot Club shows, as well as resident actor Emily Chase.

The first episode is with Georgia Pritchett (Veep, Succession, The Shrink Next Door). You can listen on Spotify here. Or on Apple Podcasts here.
